Kuwait Constitutional Court Reinstates Previous Parliament

Kuwait's Constitutional Court on Sunday ruled that last September's parliamentary election was void and that the previous assembly must be reinstated.

Justice Mohammad bin Naji said the court had annulled the early elections held in September.

"The constitutional authority of the dissolved parliament shall be restored as of the date of this ruling," he told the court session attended by reporters.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Friday a cable of congratulations to Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the anniversary of his country's Victory Day.

He wished the President constant health and happiness and steady progress and prosperity for the Turkish government and people.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Erdogan a similar cable on the occasion.
