Saudi Arabia condemned on Tuesday the offensive and racist remarks made by an Israeli minister against the state of Palestine and its people.

The Foreign Ministry underscored the Kingdom’s rejection of such baseless statements that only stoke hatred and violence and undermine international efforts for peace and dialogue.

It reiterated Riyadh’s support for all international efforts aimed at resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict according to the 2002 Arab peace initiative and that secures the establishment of a Palestinian state according to 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Tuesday a cable of congratulations to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on his country's National Day.

King Salman wished Sisi continued good health and the government and people of Egypt steady progress and prosperity.

He lauded the strong Saudi-Egyptian ties, emphasizing the shared desire to foster growth in all sectors.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Sisi a similar cable on the occasion.
