Saudi Arabia declared on Tuesday that the holy fasting month of Ramadan will begin on Thursday.

The Supreme Court made the announcement after teams failed to sight the crescent moon that marks the beginning of the holy month.

It congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, all citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia and Muslims across the globe on the advent of Ramadan.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met in Cairo on Monday with Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance the Humanitarian Response in Gaza.
The two ministers discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the efforts undertaken in this regard.

Bin Farhan also met with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Mohammed Hussein.
The two ministers reviewed relations and discussed regional developments.
