Saudi Arabia Calls for Stopping Foreign Interference in Libya’s Affairs

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met in Riyadh on Sunday with Abdoulaye Bathily, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Libya and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the Kingdom's support for the inter-Libyan solution under the auspices of the UN, and the need to stop foreign interference in Libyan affairs.

They also discussed ways to advance the political process in Libya, and reviewed the UN efforts to resolve the crisis.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Minister of State for African Countries Affairs Ambassador Dr. Sami Al-Saleh.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, received his Djiboutian counterpart, Abdul Kader Hussein Omar, in Riyadh on Sunday where they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two officials also discussed ways to promote cooperation in various fields.

The two ministers chaired a meeting of the Political Consultations Committee between the two countries, during which they discussed coordination on key regional and international issues.

Among the officials in attendance was Saud Al-Sati, deputy minister for political affairs.
