In this Hajj season, security, health and relevant services sectors were deployed to prepare the pilgrims move to Mina to start their rituals.

Pilgrims will spend the night at Mina before they head to Arafat on Thursday – a basic Hajj element.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz addressed to host the Indonesian Maryam Marghani Muhammad, 104, with her companions among the king’s guests as an appreciation to her health condition, which requires delicate attention.

Maryam expressed gratitude to the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his hospitality and for the facilities and unique services offered to her.

She stressed that this attention is an embodiment of the kingdom’s appreciation to pilgrims. Maryam also expressed delight for arriving safely to the holy sites.

Pilgrims will spend the Tarwiah day at Mina, knowing that the biggest tent city in the world has been prepared for them, expanding on a space of 500,000 square meters.

Thursday morning, pilgrims will head to Arafat from Mina and will spend their night at Muzdalifah, then after the sunrise they will return to Mina to offer their sacrifices in the morning of Eid al-Adha.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Red Crescent has completed its preparations to receive pilgrims through 36 emergency rooms equipped with specialized cadres and medical material.

The staff consists of 505 members, including 14 doctors, 10 specialists, 205 emergency teams and 14 intensive care teams.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
