The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemned and denounced the suicide attack in the Afghan capital Kabul, which left a number of people dead and wounded, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoF) announced on Friday.
The source offered condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery and reaffirming the kingdom's solidarity with Afghanistan against extremism and terrorism.
A suicide attacker blew himself up outside a political gathering in Kabul, officials said Thursday.
Supporters of Atta Mohammad Noor, the powerful governor of the northern province of Balkh, had been holding an event inside a wedding hall at the time of the blast.
Afghan officials said Friday that the death toll in the blast rose to 15 after a journalist succumbed to his wounds.
