King Salman Receives 57th Annual Report of General Auditing Bureau

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received on Tuesday a message from President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika, which was delivered by Algerian Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals al-Tayeb Louh at al-Yamamah Palace.

The minister conveyed to the King the greetings of the Algerian President, while the King expressed his greetings to the President.

The audience was attended by Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Musaed bin Mohammed al-Aiban, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir.

In other news, King Salman received President of General Auditing Bureau Hossam al-Anqari and the accompanying delegation who presented the King with the 57th annual report of General Auditing Bureau for the year 1437/1438 Hijri. The report includes the most important achievements and results of financial auditing and performance control carried out by the Bureau.

The Custodian expressed his thanks to all employees of the General Auditing Bureau for their efforts, wishing them all success in their missions to serve their religion and homeland.

Anqari stated that the strategic plan for the debts which was updated during 1438 Hijri focused on expanding the scope of financial auditing plans and programs, monitoring the performance. He added that the updated plan also enables the departments supervised by Bureau to raise their efficiency in developing and collecting public revenues.

The President of the Bureau said that during the Bureau's participation in international organizations, it maintained a pioneering role in United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Reviewing Program. He confirmed that this reflects the importance of Kingdom's leading role represented by General Auditing Bureau within high institutions for international financial auditing and accounting in this important field.

Anqari lauded the Royal Decree to establish a supreme committee chaired by the Crown Prince to fight and eradicate corruption and protect public finances.

The audience was attended by Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir.

Saudi Leadership Offers Condolences to King of Morocco over Victims of Floods in Safi

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Monday a cable of condolences to King of Morocco Mohammed VI over the victims of the heavy rains and floods that struck the city of Safi.

King Salman extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the King of Morocco, the families of the deceased, and the Moroccan people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent a similar cable to the Moroccan leader.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, met on Monday at his office in Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh with President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the Republic of the Sudan, their implications, and the efforts being made to achieve security and stability, SPA reported.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan, and Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jafar.

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and his accompanying delegation arrived in Riyadh on Monday, the Saudi Press Agency said.

He was received at King Khalid International Airport by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz and several other officials.
