The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received at Al-Auja Palace in Diriyah Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nassir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation.

The King and Sheikh Nassir reviewed fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The audience was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Mansour bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Prince Talal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Khaled bin Saad bin Fahd; Prince Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Abdurrahman, Governor of Diriyah Governorate; Prince Dr. Hossam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Governor of Baha Region; Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; a number of princes and Sheikh Nassir's accompanying delegation.

Also Thursday, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, met in Riyadh with the Kuwaiti Defense Minister, SPA said.

During the meeting, they reviewed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields and ways of enhancing them, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the region and efforts being exerted towards them, the news agency added.

The event was attended by Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Royal Court; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohamed Al-Aiban; Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and President of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan.

From the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's ambassador to the Kingdom and a number of civilian and military officials.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
