Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution demanded that discretionary punishment is given to a Saudi woman for supporting the terror group ISIS and for covering her husband’s involvement.

She is accused of accompanying her husband from Riyadh to the Asir region in southwestern Saudi Arabia, a trip linked to the attack which killed 11 security personnel, 4 Asian nationals and injured 33 others.

Public Prosecution charged her with carrying an explosive belt, in the company of her husband, from Riyadh to Asir.

A suicide bomber used the belt and blew himself up in the mosque of the Saudi Special Emergency Forces in Abha in 2015.

The defendant is also accused of covering for her husband, who hid terror suspects at home, collected money for the terrorist group and traveled to war zones in Syria.

The investigation revealed that the woman hid the explosive belt under her feet to evade the police, during the 1000 km-long trip from Riyadh to Asir.

More so, the Saudi defendant is accused of exploiting her position as a woman for hiding and transporting the explosive belt.

The prosecutor also said that the convict was aware of her husband's travel to Syria to participate in fighting there and knowingly covered up for him, and decidedly chose not to inform security authorities.

She is also accused of sheltering terror suspects.

The convicted woman escaped with her husband from their home in Al-Munisiya neighborhood in Riyadh, where they were living with two non-family ISIS members-- Ahmad Saeed Jaber al-Zahrani, 21, and Mohammed Saeed Jaber al-Zahrani, 19.

At the residence they escaped, $5,500 in cash, heavy and light weapons, 5 hand grenades, and sketches of target sites were seized.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
