Crown Prince Receives Saudi Ambassadors Designate to a Number of Countries

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense received in Riyadh, on Sunday, ambassadors designate to a number of sisterly and friendly countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

They included Ambassador-Designate to Swiss Confederation Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz; Ambassador-Designate to Federal Republic of Germany Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah; Ambassador-Designate to Republic of Senegal Fahd bin Ali Al-Dosari; Ambassador-Designate to Socialist Republic of Vietnam Saud bin Fahd bin Swailem; Ambassador-Designate to Federative Republic of Brazil Ali bin Abdullah Bahaitham; Ambassador-Designate to Republic of Cote d'Ivoire Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Subaie; Ambassador-Designate to Republic of Ghana Mishaal bin Hamdan Al-Roqi; Ambassador-Designate to Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Sami bin Jameel Abdul Salam Abdullah; Ambassador-Designate to Republic of Mali Khalid bin Mabrouk Al-Khalid; Ambassador-Designate to Republic of Djibouti Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar; Ambassador-Designate to Republic of Zambia Osama bin Mohammed Karnashi; Ambassador-Designate to Japan Naif bin Marzouq Al-Fahadi; and Ambassador-Designate to United Arab Emirates Turki bin Abdullah Aldakhil.

According to SPA, the Crown Prince congratulated them on the royal trust by appointing them as ambassadors of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing the importance of promoting the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia internationally in accordance with the directives of the King, and the care for citizens abroad.

The Crown Prince also wished the ambassadors all success.

The audience was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
