Arab Coalition forces intercepted and downed on Monday two drones flown by the Iran-backed Houthi militias towards Saudi Arabia.
The drones were launched towards the Khamis Mushait region in southern Saudi Arabia, Arab Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said.
Shrapnel from the downed missiles caused damage to a building and vehicles in a residential neighborhood without causing casualties.
Maliki accused the Houthis of “desperately” attempting to target civilian locations, but they have failed in meeting the objectives of their hostile acts.
He said it is the Coalition’s legitimate right to take the necessary deterrent measures to deal with these hostile acts in line with International Humanitarian Law.
