The sons of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi said Friday they forgive the killers of their father.
"On this holy night of this blessed month (of Ramadan)... we the sons of … Khashoggi announce that we forgive and pardon those who killed our father," Salah Khashoggi said on Twitter.
Out of 11 individuals indicted in the case, five were in December sentenced to death and three face jail terms totaling 24 years, according to the public prosecutor.
Salah Khashoggi had said of the December verdict that "it has been fair to us and that justice has been achieved."
