The UAE public prosecutors' office summoned on Wednesday several people for sharing videos showing defense systems intercepting Monday's missile attack by Yemen's Houthi militia.

The Public Prosecution advised the public that such videos threatened vital and military facilities in the country and national security and stability.

It urged the public not to circulate videos that may harm the country's security interests.

Attorney General Hamad Saif al-Shamsi said "legal deterrent measures" would be taken against those publishing such material in the UAE, cautioning community members about circulating such content and calling on them to abide by the enforceable national laws.

Shamsi also encouraged the public to avoid violating related laws to prevent a negative impact on the community.

He pointed out the risks of spreading rumors, threatening the peace, creating panic, and aggravating tensions among community members.

The Attorney General stated that national authorities had adopted a transparent approach to releasing facts and information.

He affirmed that the Public Prosecution would take the appropriate legal action against related crimes to protect the nation's interests, public order, and community security.

On Monday, Houthis launched cruise missiles and ballistic missiles alongside drones in an attack on the UAE, killing three civilians and injuring six others. The attack also caused a fire near the Abu Dhabi airport.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
