Saudi Arabia Seeks to Facilitate Citizens’ Visa-Free Entry to Schengen Countries

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed with European officials the procedures of facilitating the entry of Saudi citizens to the Schengen countries without the need to acquire a visa.

The Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Waleed al-Khuraiji, met with the Head of Visa Policy at the General Authority for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission, Dimitri Giotakos, and his team.

The two officials discussed the relations between Saudi Arabia and the European Union and the ways to enhance them.

The team held a meeting in Riyadh, chaired by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ambassador Tamim al-Dosari and Giotakos, to discuss the necessary procedures to facilitate the entry of Saudi citizens to the Schengen countries without the need to obtain a prior visa.

The two sides affirmed the will to deepen cooperation and consultation to serve the common interests between Saudi Arabia and the European Union countries.

Saudi Arabia Condemns Cowardly Terrorist Attack on Military Base in Chad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s condemnation and denunciation of the cowardly terrorist attack on a military base in the Republic of Chad, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several security personnel.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s firm rejection of terrorist and extremist acts that attempt to undermine the security and stability of Chad and its brotherly people.

The statement said: “The Kingdom affirms its solidarity with and support for the government and people of the Republic of Chad in the wake of this painful tragedy, extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Chad, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
