A total of 326 trucks as part of Saudi aid convoys will gradually move to the Rafah border in Egypt and then to the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, adviser to the Royal Court and supervisor general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), was in Egypt on Wednesday to launch the aid through the Rafah crossing for delivery to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

He inspected warehouses, examined the operation of the Saudi aid trucks and oversaw cooperation with the authorities responsible for delivering the aid to the enclave.

Al-Rabeeah explained during a press conference that the Saudi relief aid included food, shelter, and medical supplies, as well as ambulances transported through both the air and sea relief bridges.

He added that the Saudi National Campaign was launched to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through the Sahem platform, in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He noted that the total number of relief flights organized by the center has reached 15, with the first ship carrying a payload of 1,050 tons.

The second ship is set to sail next Saturday, while the third will sail the following Tuesday, Al-Rabeeah added.

He also thanked the Egyptian government for facilitating the reception of the Saudi air and sea bridges and transporting the aid to Gaza.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
