Jeddah Airports Company (jedco) has announced the inauguration of the duty-free project at King Abdulaziz International Airport, in collaboration with its strategic partner JAH Arabia International Duty-Free LLC. This joint venture includes Germany’s Gebr. Heinemann, Saudi Arabia’s Astra Group, and Jordanian Duty-Free Shops.
The project spans a total area of more than 8,000 square meters, distributed between Terminal 1 and the North Terminal. It features around 500 international brands across over 35 stores, making it a leading shopping destination at Saudi airports.
CEO of jedco Eng. Mazen Johar said Wednesday the project aims to provide exceptional shopping options and enhance services available to passengers at the airport, noting that it will contribute to increasing revenues, diversifying income sources, creating new investment opportunities for local and international investors, and generating direct and indirect job opportunities for Saudi youth, in line with the National Aviation Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
JAH Arabia International Duty-Free LLC affirmed its commitment to providing a shopping experience that reflects the uniqueness of King Abdulaziz International Airport by striking a balance between global standards and local culture.
