The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) launched its celebrations for World Arabic Language Day at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The event, running from December 2 to 4 and sponsored by Saudi Minister of Culture and KSGAAL Board of Trustees Chairman Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, reflects the Kingdom's leading role in supporting the Arabic language and solidifying its status as an official UN language.
Held in partnership with the Kingdom's Permanent Mission to the UN, the celebrations featured cultural and interactive programs highlighting the beauty, history, and influence of Arabic on other cultures.
The program included dialogue sessions on the language's role in international organizations and global cultural understanding, an exhibition introducing the academy's projects, and a display of Arabic-related handicrafts.
The event, attended by high-level UN officials and member state representatives, aligns with Vision 2030's goals to support cultural identity and promote intercultural understanding.
