UN Says Secretary-General Guterres will Visit Syria Later this Week

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will travel to Syria later this week and will meet President Ahmed al-Sharaa, the world body said in a statement on Tuesday, Reuters reported.

This will be Guterres’ first visit to Syria as UN secretary-general, it said.
