A Just War Against Houthi Aggression

Man could not have shaped this world in the manner we live today without the supremacy of absolute will - a will that leads toward decisive paths, forcing humans to make history-altering decisions, the pinnacle of which is the decision to go to war.

If we were to browse the history of wars, we would find that war itself is the most precise document of human movement and the foundation of human survival. While wars may be a collection of stories, humans, through their will, are the heroes, creators, and weavers of all those tales.

Indeed, following the two world wars and the scattered civil conflicts in Asia and Europe - whether driven by religious or ethnic reasons - some philosophers distanced themselves to search for systems that could curb the will to wage war. This gave rise to idealistic theories that quickly failed because they defied human nature. Instead, humanity did not eradicate wars or abandon them; rather, it took upon itself the task of regulating the rules of engagement, codifying the laws of war, and placing every conflict within its specific contexts and justifications, while striving to spare innocent non-combatants from its salvos and gunfire.

It is true that concepts were introduced to accelerate the end of war, such as negotiation, which developed scientifically and practically; however, it is war and its power that make the document of any agreement more durable and enforceable.

The option of war is necessary when its comprehensive justifications are met, making it one of the wars that must be fought without hesitation. Contrary to what some believe, war is not the antithesis of right; rather, it is part of "the right actions that work in harmony with the energy of the nation, whereas unjust actions are those that move in the opposite direction. The former succeed, the latter fail, and success is the necessary material realization of the concept of right," according to Hegel. Meanwhile, Dühring went even further: "The purpose of right is peace, and the tools used to achieve that goal are conflict, war, and might. Conflict is inherent to human history. Thus, it is not foreign to right, but on the contrary, it is closely linked to the essence of right... for it is the true component of right."

The most prominent example of a necessary war is what Saudi Arabia is undertaking against the Houthi terrorist militia threat, which opposes the concept of the state, with the aim of ending it. It has already become clear through Houthi terrorist actions that the war against them is necessary, having received societal and regional support since its very first day.

The continuation of the war against the Houthis throughout the past years remains essential; the terrorism currently practiced by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia through the targeting of holy sites, airports, and civilian objects has led the world to view the Coalition's war against Houthi terrorism with understanding or endorsement.

The Houthis have destroyed the Yemeni interior, codifying and legalizing slavery while portraying the downtrodden in the streets as a reflection of their popularity and a part of their grassroots support base. It is laughable that they engage in dialogue committees studying their lack of objection to "secularism" should they seize power in Yemen. In fact, a first-tier leader of theirs recently proposed a Houthi project to develop "microchips" and "artificial intelligence" at a center to be headquartered in Sanaa!

The war against the Houthis serves to protect Yemeni children. Consistent reports and monitoring confirm that the Houthis make the distribution of medicine to families dependent on vulnerable children executing orders they do not understand, such as masking military movements, delivering messages, or holding up photos. This is a crime that the international community must expose.

The Houthi aggression comes at a moment of weakness for the group in particular and for its axis in general, especially following the series of major defeats it has suffered since Iran's proxies ventured into fighting support wars that backfired on them with significant losses.

In conclusion, the just, rational, and justified war against the Houthis will end in victory, as this terrorist militia has pushed its aggression to the absolute limit. This rogue terrorist militia is simply incapable of understanding the political frameworks or negotiation ideas that some are trying to promote.
