Saudi surfing team member Muhannad Al-Malki registered himself as the first Saudi to represent his country in the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Para Surfing Championship for People with Special Needs, which concluded Monday after six days in Huntington Beach, California, USA.

More than 180 surfers from 27 countries participated in the championship, according to SPA.

ISA President Fernando Aguerre said: "We are delighted to welcome the Kingdom into the surfing family for people with special needs and among the countries competing this year."

"The Kingdom is the only country to make their debuts, and their player has shown a good level considering that he is competing for the first time," he added.

Manchester City's stunning slump continued Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Goals from Jhon Duran and Morgan Rogers at Villa Park consigned the four-time defending champion to nine defeats and just one win in 12 games, The AP reported.

Phil Foden pulled a goal back for City in stoppage time, but it wasn’t enough.

City dropped to sixth in the standings — nine points below leader Liverpool, having played two games more.

Villa climbed to fifth.
