The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh launched a tree-planting initiative in Al-Baha.

The initiative aims to plant 50,000 trees around the region's mosques, which is in line with the Saudi Green Initiative, according to SPA.Al Alsheikh said that the ministry will implement this initiative nationwide to increase vegetation cover around mosques.

He highlighted Al-Baha as a key focus for tree planting, emphasizing its potential as a global tourist destination due to its beautiful nature.

Reef Saudi Launches International Training Program for Farmers

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Reef Saudi) has launched an international training program to enhance farmers' skills and knowledge.

The program will feature study tours focused on specific agricultural fields, introducing participants to modern agricultural methods.
According to SPA, the launch ceremony took place at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture headquarters in Riyadh, with representatives from the ministry and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in attendance.
The training program seeks to foster networking opportunities and encourage participants to adopt and share their learnings from the study tours within and beyond their communities.

The program also aims to provide consultation spaces and introduce participants to innovative agricultural practices.

The program targets specialists in the field of study, including smallholder farmers, land users, and owners of agricultural businesses and institutions.
