The Saudi Ministry of Culture has concluded the sorting of participations in the Arab Poetry Research Grant, which it launched in conjunction with World Poetry Day, annually celebrated on March 21, targeting interested and specialized researchers in various fields of Arab poetry from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The ministry announced approving 20 research titles from eight Arab countries. This grant comes in partnership between the Ministry of Culture and the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission to achieve the objectives of the "Arab Poetry Year 2023" Initiative, launched to celebrate Arab poetry as a key element of Saudi and Arab identity.

The grant seeks to achieve the initiative's objectives of enhancing the status of Arab poetry in the culture of individuals, enriching the evolving and sustainable poetry creativity, and highlighting the cultural element of poetry and its root in the history of the Arabian Peninsula.

The Public Prosecution and the Heritage Commission signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance their collaborative efforts in protecting the national heritage and preserving the Kingdom's national identity, SPA reported.
The MoU entails exchanging information on national heritage protection, combating violations of archaeological sites, and organizing awareness programs to educate the community about the importance of preserving heritage and the penalties for related offenses.
This partnership represents a strategic step to establish a comprehensive framework for protecting heritage sites, enhancing the Kingdom's global status as a cultural heritage destination and reinforcing its leadership in preserving national identity and history.
