Bujairi Terrace, the premium distinctive dining destination in the heart of the historical Diriyah, has received the Architectural and Urban Creativity Award from Riyadh Municipality.
Opened in December 2022, Bujairi Terrace attracted over one million visitors in its first six months of operation, according to SPA.
Spanning 15,000 sqm, the dining district features over 20 globally renowned restaurants and cafés, including four Michelin-starred brands—Chez Bruno, Tatel, Hakkasan, and Long Chim. It also offers a thoughtfully curated blend of local Saudi cuisine and international flavors.
As a dynamic mixed-use developer, Diriyah is reshaping urban planning to turn Saudi Arabia's historic birthplace into a vibrant new capital of culture, entertainment, and education.
Diriyah's ambitious goals, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, aim to attract 50 million visits annually, generate over 178,000 direct jobs, and contribute more than US$18.6 billion directly to the national GDP by 2023.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has designated Rabat as the World Book Capital for 2026, following a recommendation from the World Book Capital Advisory Committee.

In a recent statement, UNESCO highlighted the Moroccan capital's commitment to fostering the book industry and encouraging reading through its 54 publishing houses; it also hosts Africa's third-largest international book fair.

Rabat aims to come up with various initiatives to improve access to books, bolster the local publishing sector, and advance literacy among all age groups and demographics, both nationally and internationally.

The statement added that the celebrations are set to commence on April 23, 2026, coinciding with the World Book and Copyright Day.
