Saad al-Hariri, who resigned as Lebanon's prime minister last weekend, received at his residence in Riyadh today the French ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Francois Gouyette, Hariri's office said in a statement.
Hariri, who quit in a video broadcast from Saudi Arabia on Saturday but has not yet returned to Lebanon, also met diplomats from the European Union, Britain and United States in the past two days.
The outgoing PM received yesterday the head of the European Union delegation to the Kingdom, Michele Cervone d'Urso. He had met on Tuesday with the US Charge d'affaires in Riyadh, Christopher Henzel, and the British ambassador Simon Collis.
