Saudi Arabia Intercepts Houthi Ballistic Missile
Saudi Arabia on Thursday intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Yemen’s Houthi insurgents, the official spokesman for The Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen said.
The ballistic missile was fired from the northern Yemeni province of Saada towards the Saudi city of Jizan, but no casualties were reported, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki said in a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency.
He condemned the attack, saying this hostile act demonstrates the Iranian regime’s ongoing support for the Houthis with sophisticated weapons in clear and blatant violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions 2216 and 2231.
Maliki also accused Iran of threatening Saudi, regional and international security.
