Nestled along the route connecting Makkah and Madinah lies the Jumum Museum, a treasure trove that houses over 12,000 artifacts that tell a story of the significant historical and archaeological landmarks of Jumum governorate.
All year round, the museum attracts visitors, including locals, residents, Hajj pilgrims, and Umrah performers, eager to explore the area's rich history, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Covering more than 2,000 square meters, the museum is the first of its kind in Jumum, highlighting the local heritage through its participation in national festivals and events, SPA said.
Visitors are treated to glimpses of ancient historical sites, particularly the bustling markets of the past, such as the historic Majanna and Dhi Al-Majaz markets. These spots once thrived as vital economic hubs, bringing life and commerce to the area long ago, it added.
