President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, and Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed Hegab inaugurated the sixth edition of the 'Talal: A History Read by Generations' exhibition, coinciding with the International Day of Charity. The exhibition is being held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
In his opening speech, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted that the exhibition showcases artifacts and information on the humanitarian and charitable efforts of the late Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz.
According to SPA, he emphasized that the exhibition aims to consolidate and strengthen humanitarian work across generations, noting that Alexandria represented an important chapter in Prince Talal’s life, reflecting his passion for humanity, development, and commitment to Arab causes.
The opening featured documentary screenings on Prince Talal’s biography and a review of previous editions of the exhibition.
Spread across 11 pavilions, the exhibition narrates key moments from the late Prince Talal’s life, from his upbringing and six-decade developmental journey until his passing in 2018, to his early responsibilities and the establishment of 20 institutions across several Arab countries.
A special pavilion highlights Prince Talal’s intellectual, cultural, and developmental ties with Egypt, as well as his close relationship with Alexandria and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The exhibition will be open to the public Monday and Tuesday at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center, accompanied by cultural activities, including seminars on Prince Talal’s vision for education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
