Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Alswaha held on Monday a series of meetings with leading technology figures as part of his visit to the United States.
He held talks with Founder, Chairman and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to boost strategic partnerships in artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative digital solutions.
The meeting discussed partnership opportunities in AI, large language models (LLMs), the metaverse, and generative AI.
It also addressed initiatives that support innovators and developers in a way that enhances national capabilities and helps consolidate the Kingdom’s leadership in future technologies.
Alswaha met with Groq Founder and CEO Jonathan Ross to advance the Kingdom’s capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing.
They discussed expanding collaboration in accelerator computing technologies and AI-powered sustainable computing to help build a world-class national computing ecosystem and support the Kingdom’s objective to establish itself as a leading hub for sustainable AI technologies.
Alswaha met with Adobe Chair and Chief Executive Officer Shantanu Narayen to strengthen partnerships in technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
They discussed expanding collaboration in intelligent content solutions and AI-powered creative design. This aims to empower creators and designers within the digital creative economy and enhance the Kingdom’s capabilities in creative and digital innovation tools.
Alswaha held a meeting with Applied Intuition CEO Qasar Younis to support the Kingdom’s smart mobility ecosystem.
They tackled opportunities to develop advanced simulation and testing solutions for autonomous vehicles. The efforts aim to boost the Kingdom’s leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies tailored for smart mobility and contribute to an integrated intelligent transportation ecosystem that supports Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
