North Korea conducted a simulated tactical nuclear strike on targets across South Korea, state media reported on Thursday, in reaction to the US deploying of strategic bombers in the region.
The tactical ballistic missiles were fired northeastward from Pyongyang International Airport and "correctly carried out (their) nuclear strike mission", the army said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.
North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea on Wednesday, South Korea's military said, hours after the US deployed B-1B bombers for allied air drills.
