The General Authority for Cultural Palaces has released 40 new titles including poetry collections, novels, plays, and critical and philosophic studies, in addition to documentary books. The Literary Voices series is composed of nine poetry collection including Multicolor T-shirt by Poet Amjad Rayan; Grass of Spirit by Naji Shoueib; and "Exhausted as if He is the Miracle" by Marwa Abu Daif. Novels and story collections include titles like The Lost by Ahmed Sabri Tarabay, and The Last Dance by Hiba Hamdi.
In the field of cinema, the authority released a study entitled "Popular Traditions in Egyptian Cinema: A Study of Salah Abu Seif Films" by Dr. Hussein Abdullatif; Cinema of Naguib Mahfouz by Critic Nader Adli, in addition to a collection of popular studies in four books including the "Perspective in Popular Heritage" by researcher Usama al-Farmawi.
The international releases include the Arabic translations of Jean-Paul Sartre's Nausea by Fathi al-Ashri, and Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales by Dr. Majdy Wahba and Dr. Abdul Hamid Yuness. The second book revolves around the stories of pilgrims visiting the renowned Saint Thomas Becket. From the French literature, the authority chose to release the Arabic translation of Albert Camus' La Pest by Dr. Kawthar Abdul Salam and Dr. Mohamed al-Kassas, and Suzanne Bernard's The Prose Poem by Rawiya Sadek.
In the Writing Memory series, the authority released "Political Plays" and "Unknown Plays" by critic Foad Dawara. The two books are considered among the best studies on the theater of Tawfik el-Hakim.
The releases also include two other books entitled "Modern Sindibad" and "Ancient Sindibad Journey" by Dr. Hussein Fawzi.
