Five Saudis, More than 190 Foreigners Evacuated From Sudan Arrive in Jeddah

Five Saudi nationals and 198 citizens from ten different countries arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday following their evacuation from Sudan.

Among those evacuated from Sudan under directives from Saudi Arabia were nationals from Russia, the United Kingdom, China, the United States of America, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Pakistan.

All evacuees were transported through HMS Abha, where the Kingdom has worked to provide all the necessary needs in preparation for facilitating their departure to their countries, state news agency SPA reported.

This brings the total number of evacuees from Sudan since the evacuations started to 2,351 persons, including 119 Saudi citizens and 2,232 people from 67 nationalities.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a phone call with US President Donald Trump, during which they discussed developments in the region, including the Israeli military operations against Iran.

Both sides discussed the critical importance of restraint, de-escalation, and resolving all disputes through diplomatic means. They also stressed the need for continued joint work to achieve security, peace, and stability in the Middle East.

The Crown Prince held similar phone conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
