Saudi Arabia is preparing to take part in the upcoming Expo in Osaka, Japan, with a large delegation of senior officials and business leaders. As part of the event, a dedicated Saudi–Japanese Investment Forum will be held to strengthen economic ties and promote joint ventures.
According to informed sources, the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority is currently mobilizing a significant number of government representatives and private-sector executives for the forum, citing its central role in deepening bilateral economic relations and expanding cross-border investment.
The Saudi delegation will be led by Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih, who also chairs the Investment Promotion Authority. The forum is scheduled for September 24, during the Osaka Expo.
The gathering will highlight investment partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Japan across multiple sectors, while showcasing opportunities for private-sector cooperation. On the sidelines, bilateral business meetings will be organized to connect participating companies.
The authority has called on all firms and institutions interested in attending to register through a designated website and coordinate with its officials to complete the necessary steps for participation.
Japan is Saudi Arabia’s second-largest trading partner. In 2023, bilateral trade reached $41.1 billion, with Saudi exports totaling $34.7 billion and imports from Japan at $6.3 billion, leaving Riyadh with a trade surplus of $28.4 billion.
