Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman during a visit to the United States, as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen global partnerships in technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
The meeting focused on expanding collaboration in generative AI technologies and advancing the development of innovative solutions, the Saudi Press Agency said on Saturday.
The discussions included enabling global AI inference centers, contributing to the development of advanced infrastructure that supports trusted AI applications, and reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for cutting-edge research and emerging technologies.
This collaboration marks a continuation of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the digital economy and AI ecosystem, reinforcing its leadership in shaping a future driven by knowledge and innovation, aligned with the strategic objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
