The Hira Cultural District in Makkah concluded the crafts event after five days of cultural and heritage activities that attracted a diverse audience. The event showcased traditional Saudi handicrafts and their significance in shaping community identity.
Held from November 22-26, it featured a variety of activities, including competitions, prize giveaways, popular foods, and interactive games for families, creating a festive blend of enjoyment and education, SPA reported.
The "little artisan workshop" was a highlight, allowing children and families to engage in handicrafts. Participants learned Sadu weaving techniques, transforming colored threads into cultural woven pieces.
The final day saw vibrant engagement from attendees, with participation in concluding activities and contests, alongside heritage performances and well-received local foods.
The event is part of a broader initiative to revive heritage arts and support local artisans, promoting the cultural economy and developing national talent in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
